Thoughts and Encouragement
In the Gospel of John we have a picture of our Lord crying out to our Heavenly Father on our behalf. Chapter 17:21 states, "that they may all be one; even as You, Father, are in Me and I in You, that they also may be in Us, so that the world may believe that You sent Me." NASB
Contending for this unity is vital for survival. As the proverbial saying states, "united we stand, divided we fall." Abraham Lincoln's own restatement of Mark 3:25, "a house divided against itself cannot stand", should be the clarion call of the Church. We need a savior, we have a savior, He is Jesus Christ. We believe even now He mediates for us as an attorney goes before a judge and He pronounces us innocent because He took our punishment. This is what unites us. May this resonate with you and we invite you to journey together as we unfold this deep truth.
